Dried apricot products description
Dried apricots mean product prepared from sound ripe fruit and processed by sun drying or by other methods of dehydration. The product shall have the colour characteristics of the variety and the type of the treatment and shall have flavor and odour characteristic of the product. The product shall be free from living insects or mites and reasonably free from extraneous vegetable
matter, insect debris and other objectionable matter.
The product shall be presented in one of the following styles:
(i) Whole, Unpitted;
(ii) Whole, Pitted;
(iii) Halves; or
(iv)Slabs - consisting of portions of sound, ripe apricots of characteristic colour, irregular in shape, size and thickness and excluding whole fruit.

Apricot Washing |
Apricots are fed to the plant in cases, bins, bags or in bulk. A comprehensive washing is essential, as large quantities of mud and stones may be transported together with the product. Waste and sand sink to the bottom and are discharged by our special design, The brush washer is designed and produced according to tubers processing machinery technology. The surface of fruits are cleaned by rolling brushed and spraying water,meanwhile the carrot are transported forwards by rotation of brushes slowly. |
